Subsided road section stabilization and restoration of soil bearing capacity

As a result of unsuccessful repair work, a 10 cm deep settlement had formed in one of the bridge approach roads in an area of more than 40 m². Here, a rainwater drainpipe was once back filled, which was still exposed to the flow of rainwater, thus creating the possibility of washing away the entire embankment structure.

Cavities were filled in two nights, 80m² of road area was stabilized and 40m² of asphalt surface was re-leveled. Considering the summer heat and the plastic properties of the asphalt, concrete blocks were used in the work to ensure the effect of a flat surface.

All works were completed by our technical team in two nights from 23:00 – 04:00 without disturbing the traffic. The stabilized asphalt surface was ready for further processing right after the work was done the next day.
