Soil solutions for Administrative building in the centre of Vilnius

THE PROBLEM

The customer had a task to make a reconstruction of the building, which was built in Soviet times. During the project stage evaluation problem occurred – the current soil under supporting columns will not be able to withstand the new increased loads of the building. Builders needed to increase the load-bearing capacity of the soil or make the foundations deeper, so they reach the stronger soil levels. Also, the solution had to be fast, so other parts of reconstruction would not be delayed and the builder would not suffer financial losses.

WORK PROCESS WITH URETEK TECHNOLOGY

Limited space prevented extensive excavations or heavy machinery use. Soil improvement solutions were the only viable option to bolster the building against increased loads. The customer enlisted URETEK Baltic for evaluation and solution. Following thorough planning and documentation, URETEK Baltic provided the necessary resolution.

THE RESULT

The job was done in 5 days. During that time URETEK Baltic worked in parallel with other building processes in the construction site and didn’t interrupt them in any way. After the job was done, the customer evaluated the results with newly made geological surveys close to the job places and got approval to proceed further with the building reconstruction.
