Stopping the subsidence of a historic building in Vilnius Old Town

THE PROBLEM

The building in the Old Town of Vilnius had significant subsidence problems. It was caused by the presence of technogenic soil with a mixture of organic materials and constructional waste under the foundation. Foundations were very easily affected by all outside water damage throughout the years.
